[p12] Half Moon
Bay Beaches
This ride will take you through beaches of
Half Moon Bay.
The Cost Side Trail is
paved and flat. It is very popular with locals. But
it never feels crowded. Costal winds mostly blow from North
to South direction.
You will experience crashing waves of Pacific on one side and
quiet Half Moon bay costal side on the other.
Beaches
- Rosevelt beach
- Dunes Beach
- Venice Beach
- Francis Beach
Best month to rides are Spring (Mar, Apr, May) and Fall
(Sept, Oct, Nov). During summer months, the cost is always
enveloped by thick fog.
This stretch of beach is great to catch awesome Sun sets again
when there is no fog (Spring and Fall). Also try the following
restaurants for a great meal or snack.
Time your ride late in the afternoon, so that after the
ride, you can get a SunSet meal.
Also you can walk the trial towards North upto Pillar Point Habor
(another
site)
